Blog of the Vancouver Avian Research – another non-european (and non-palearctic) blog, this one is about ringing at the Vancouver Avian Research Centre ringing station from Vancouver, Canada. Xeno Canto – A tremendous collection of all kinds of sounds produced by birds. From crystal clear recordings of a single species to soundscapes capturing a dawn chorus. Right now (May, 2017) there are more than 350 000 recordings of more than 9 700 species of birds. All free to listen and download. Great source for ringers who use playback to capture birds.
Flight calls of migratory birds by The Sound Approach – Selected collection of sounds of migratory birds found in Europe during migration. Very usefull for identification of autumn migrants or when ringing such species.
